Microsoft Word: How to add Alt Text to Images

Right-click the image to open the context menu
Select 'View Alt Text'
Enter a description of the image in the Alt Text pane
Mark the image as decorative if it is not essential to the content

Instructions

  1. Right-click on an image.
  2. Select View Alt Text.
  3. Write a short, clear description of the image’s purpose.
  4. Leave blank only if the image is decorative.
